Leighlinbridge trainer Pat Fahy tasted success with smart filly Pearl Of The West at last week’s Galway festival and continued the winning grove at Cork on Tuesday evening as Stormy Belle returned to winning ways in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap.
Ridden to success by Declan McDonogh, who recently steered Beckford to Group 2 glory at the Curragh in the Railway Stakes, the Fahy-trained filly saw out her race very well, having been ridden more patiently than last week at Galway, when tiring inside the final furlong.
The daughter of stallion Dandy Man rewarded her supporters, returning at odds of 8-1.
