Presentation Secondary School 1st year Soccer Team have been presented with the KCLR and David Buggy Motors Sports Star Award for May.
Players from the team were in attendance along with Teachers Wendy Roche and Monica Kearns.
They were on the shortlist with Kilkenny Rugby Club and Evergreen FC but it was the school that got the most public votes.
The first year students had a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Scoil Mhuire of Buncrana to take the First Year Girls National Cup trophy.
They will now represent Ireland in the British Isles competition and are currently looking to fund that trip.
