Fancy playing badminton?

One texter who’s involved with Leinster Badminton got in touch with The Frequency last night to let us know that there’s an open night being held in The Watershed sports complex in Kilkenny on Tuesday next, 6 October.

Why an open night you say? Well, they’re looking to see if there’s folks locally interesting in playing badminton and hopefully getting a new club off the ground in Kilkenny.

Knowing a few people who are involved in badminton at different levels (club / social), they always seem to come back saying it’s great craic. So, if you’re looking at branching out and fancy taking up a new sport, or having an outlet for your own interest in badminton, here’s you chance.

We’re told for Tuesday night there will be equipment provided, no booking needed, just bring your sports gear and ‘non-marking’ trainers to take part. It’s a friendly, social environment with players of all agers. Not a bad evening out. Kick off (or however one starts off with badminton) is 8pm, running until 10pm.

Thanks to Roy for the tip.
