Thomastown Hurling chairman Ger Walsh says their League Final victory over Tullaroan doesn’t give them any extra boost ahead of an attempt at Intermediate honors.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s Intermediate Quarter-Final clash against Graigue-Ballycallan, Ger says it’s important not to allow complacency creep in having won the Championship.
“I don’t think so I mean look nobody remembers who wins the League really. It’s the Championship that matters and basically to us I would say, it was just another preparation match, another step on the way and you can’t read too much into League Finals as you can remember from last year from the League and Shield especially in Intermediate, both results were overturned later on in the Championship so it’s not something that you use but it’s something you don’t allow complacency to creep in either just because you win a League,” he said.
