Eddie Brennan says family reasons were a factor in why he decided to step down as Kilkenny Under-21 Hurling manager.
Speaking to KCLR, Eddie says he couldn’t give the necessary commitment require to continue on as manager.
“There was a lot going on and we built a house as well during the year so it’s busy.
“It’s a good type of busy, I am not complaining but I suppose that was maybe the thought behind it, when I weighed it up and said look, it would be different if your kids were maybe a little bit older and a bit hardier you can do that like.
“I suppose myself and herself(his wife) are working as well so there is a lot going on but like I said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and we are just I suppose disappointed too really that we came up short on the big day,” he said.
