IT Carlow Basketball Head Coach Martin Conroy says the aim for the Ladies Team is to consolidate their position in the Super League having gained promotion.
Speaking on last nights “The way it is” show ahead of a busy weekend for both the Mens and Ladies Teams, Martin said it’s important the Mens Team improve on last season.
“Our hopes with the ladies and our plans are to stay in the Super League. It’s very important after gaining promotion that we stay there and try and get into a mid-table position so we are not fighting relegation or anything towards the end of the season.
“With the guys, we have got to be hopeful of somewhere in the top 6 with the panel that we have put together, down to all the new players that we have brought in in the mens side of things, 11 new players this year so it’s just getting that blend right,” he said.
