Mullinavat Senior manager Maurice Aylward says the players weren’t too disappointed to have let a 5 point lead slip against Dicksboro with 5 minutes to go.
Speaking to KCLR after Sunday’s drawn match while looking ahead to the replay, Maurice says that gaining a draw against one of the County Championship favorites gives them confidence ahead of the replay.
“That’s the first time they were even drawn this year so look we are happy in ways, we felt we could have won it, but then they missed scores, they missed chances as well, so both teams had chances.
“Look it’s the chance the way the Quarter-Finals are gone, give everyone a chance again next week. They are very happy in one day, I mean they might have felt they left it behind, but if you draw a team like Dicksboro that will give you confidence again to go again and go and build on that, and you can say to yourself look we can hold our own with these men now and if you can say that, you are up there on the top, so that’s what we are hoping that we build on that again,” he said.
