Bennettsbridge Senior manager Christy Walsh says that a loss of form is a contributing factor in what has been a tough season.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Senior Relegation Final against St. Martins, Christy says that losing personnel has proven to have an effect.
“Even from last year, we have lost a few players. Hugh O’Neill has been away and got injured then when he came back and we were looking forward to having him back on the panel.
James Moran retired from last year and we wouldn’t have a huge panel anyway every little helps and anyone that is missing they are not easily replaced.
“I suppose players have lost form as well, there is no doubt. Like I said, if you lose 4 or 5 games in a row, the table doesn’t lie.
“Like the Premiership years ago, Newcastle’s and all these teams, they said they were too good to go down. Well if you keep losing games, that’s where you will go,” he said
