Looking to up your coaching game?
Gerard Dunne, Dr. Seamus Kelly, John Peacock, Peter Rudbaek, Alan Kelly, Sue Ronan and Ruud Dokter are among the big names in coaching heading to IT Carlow later this month for the FAI’s Coaching Conference 2017. The two day event, taking place over 24 and 25 November, includes a mixture of practical and theory-based workshops that will see attendees accredited with 15 hours of UEFA continued professional development (CPD).
For coaches, it’s worth noting that in accordance with the UEFA Convention 15 hours of UEFA Accredited CPD must be completed every 3 years in order to keep your UEFA Coaching Licence valid.
The aim over the two days is to introduce modern trends within the game, allowing for an opportunity for coaches to develop communities of practice and develop their theoretical and practical knowledge skills and attitudes towards the coaching competencies within the FAI. If you’re actively coaching wtih ambitions to complete a coach license, or if you’re a current licence holder of National D, C, UEFA B or A, then this could be worth exploring.
IT Carlow hosts the event, running from 6pm-9.30pm on the Friday and 9.30am-4.30pm on the Saturday. Coaches interesting in participating must have registered by November 22 here. Check FAI Carlow’s event here.
