Knockbeg College are in action today in Round 3 of the Bro Bosco Cup when they take on Moate Community School

That game throws in at 1.45 this afternoon in Netwatch Cullen Park.

Meanwhile Despite a great performance Knockbeg lost their second game in the U16 A championship down in New Ross against Good Counsel. GC started well scoring 3 long range points in the first six minutes.

However Knockbeg dragged themselves back in with points from Dylan Doyle and Josh Lacey. The game ebbed and flowed and potentially hinges on two great chances coming to half time. Oisin byrne twice beat his man to see his shot defied by the corner back and goalkeeper. Half time score was 6- 2.

Great start to second half with a goal and point from Josh Lacey. Knockbeg dominated the first 15 of the second half but yet again failed to express this on the scoreboard.

GC using a well drilled and patient pressure attack were far more clinical and kept Knockbeg at bay by 4 at the end. 11 to 1-4. Great performances on day from Josh Lacey, Ciaran Burke, Eoin Fitzpatrick and Ciaran O Hagan.
