Newport County striker Pádraig Amond doesn’t think the Video Assistant Referee is going to be a success.
The VAF will be used for tonight’s League Cup Semi-Final clash between Chelsea and Arsenal, and speaking to KCLR, Pádraig says the game would be ruined if it became stop-start…..
“Where do you draw the line of what’s a big decision and what’s not a big decision”
“Is a free-kick 30 yards outside the box that’s crossed in and a goal comes from it, is that a big decision or is that a penalty decision so I think there is a lot of work to be done on that”
“I don’t think it’s going to be a success because there is going to be too much of a stop-start motion in the game and people are going to be arguing about everything, but it will be interesting to see how it happens”
