Carlow IT Hurling Head Coach DJ Carey says it’s essentially important to win their home games.
Speaking to KCLR after yesterday’s Fitzgibbon Cup victory against defending Champions Mary I of Limerick, DJ yesterday’s victory has given them a comfort ahead of their trip to Galway to play NUIG on Thursday…..
“We have based a huge amount of success or potential success on the fact that we tried very hard in the League to go as far as we can to get seeded which meant we had Mary I in a home game, albeit not a home game yesterday because it was transferred to Heywood College”.
“It’s hugely important you win your home games”
“We are away to NUIG on Thursday this week so that’s going to be a massive touch but at least by winning yesterday, we have a little bit of a comfort zone”
