Retired Carlow Senior Hurler Shane Kavanagh says he is glad to be back in some sort of training after missing almost all of last year due to injury.
Speaking to KCLR on Saturday Scoreline, Shane says is hoping to get an injury-free run this year with his club Naomh Eoin Myshall….
“Yeah, well I stepped away from the League last year because I was getting a lot of problems with my hamstring and lower hamstrings and lower back so I went and got a scan done and I had a bulging disc in my lower back so I was doing well to play anything with the club at all last year”
“I only got back, the first full game last year was the County Final and so I am just back doing a bit of gym work at the minute and a small bit of running so hopefully if I can stay injury free, I will give it a good year with the club and see how I get on”
