Carlow & District League Oscar Traynor manager Paul Dowling says they will fear no one regardless of who they get in the Oscar Traynor Semi-Final.

Lee Salter proved to be the super sub as he came off the bench to score a hat-trick in last weekends 4-3 Quarter-Final victory over Wexford in which they trailed 3-0 at half-time.

Paul says they are right up there with the top teams in the country.

“In front of goal, Lee is very like Graham Delaney in that respect, you don’t give him too much room or he will punish you.

“Lee scored within 5 minutes and then he got the 2nd one and Graham got the 3rd one and then a couple of minutes to go Lee completed the hat-trick.

“It was a fantastic achievement to come back and beat Wexford and we’re into the Semis now.

“It’s the first time a Carlow Team has got to the Oscar Traynor Semi-Finals and we are just looking forward to the draw now.

Paul added that they are eager to avenge last years last eight defeat.

“We got knocked out in the quarter-finals last year by Limerick down in Limerick and the boys walked off the field feeling they left one behind them so it’s only a kick of the ball in it between anyone and we fear nobody when it comes to it,” he concluded.
