An exchange has taken place on Social media between Carlow GAA and the Carlow Kilkenny under 15 Soccer Team Management regarding the availability of players which feature on both teams.
Carlow GAA initially posted a screenshot on Social media from a parent of one of the four dual players which stated that Management of the Carlow Kilkenny under 15 Soccer Team told the players they wouldn’t be selected if they continued to play GAA.

However Carlow Kilkenny Under 15 Soccer Team Management responded by saying that players are required to train three nights a week along with a game at the weekend with long journeys factored in and insists that player welfare is most important.
He added that a decision was made at the start of the season that players would have to fully commit to them and them only at the start of the year.
We make no apologies for highlighting this issue for all our
U.14, 15, & 16 Colts going forward.
We never normally engage these issues on social media but there are always tipping points.
