Local based National Hunt Jockey David Mullins says it’s been frustrating not to have gotten a Cheltenham winner having had so many 2nd places.
Speaking ahead of next weeks Festival, David is delighted how the last few months have gone especially with Ruby Walsh and Paul Townend out injured.
“There have been so many of them it’s not funny. I got great opportunities all Winter with Ruby and Paul out, I couldn’t believe how lucky I was to get to ride them.
“A good lot of them done the deal and done the job for me so if I could get on them in March, I would be very lucky.
“Iv’e Gone to Cheltenham the last two years with loads of rides and hitting the crossbar with few of them, four or five 2nds and just nearly, it’s a lonely place finishing 2nd there.
“It’s probably the best in the world if you win, but it’s a very lonely place so far,” he said.
