Local trainer Willie Mullins says it’s lovely to have a winner on Day one of the Cheltenham Festival to take the pressure off.
Speaking ahead of next weeks Festival, Willie is hoping for better fortune than the opening two days of last years Festival.
“Oh it’s lovely to get one in early and then sort of relax and the thing just moves on.
“But it was tough last year especially the end of day two, there was no winner, but we looked at our results, and we thought there was nothing there that was unlucky.
“We didn’t think we were done out of any races by any hard luck stories, fallers or I mean bad rides, it was just the way it was.
“Your fear every year, is that everything you bring over will get beaten just because they are not good enough. It’s lovely to have a winner the first day, and if you get one early, that’s even better,” he said.
