Former and Leinster Ireland out-half Mick Quinn says it’s going to be a serious test of Ireland’s ability to perform at a high level this weekend.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Ireland’s Six Nations clash at home to Scotland on Saturday, Mick says that Chris Farrell will be sorely missed.
“Joe Schmidt certainly won’t be talking about Grand Slams. He’ll be trying to keep the minds on what’s coming towards Ireland next Saturday.
“It’s going to be a fairly serious test of our ability to perform more than once or twice at a high level. We haven’t been helped by injuries this year.
“That can come back to bite you eventually, you can get away with it once or twice, but like we have now lost Farrell out of the centre position.
“That’s a huge loss, a Man of the Match performance the last day and now he is gone as well. It’s certainly thinning our blood a little bit as the crunch games come on,” he said.
