St. Kierans Deputy Principal Liam Smith says that Presentation Athenry will possess a formidable challenge in Saturday’s All-Ireland Senior Colleges Hurling Final.
Speaking to KCLR, Liam says they will have to be at our best to deny the Athenry school a goal.
“Athenry are very very good. Cathal Moore there on TG4, we would have hurled against him in the past, he is there and he is principal and he is driving it on.
“They are very strong and they have a guy, Conor Walsh who won a Minor All-Ireland with Galway in midfield, very strong physical fellow that will dominate any game, and they have a forward in young Kennedy that’s as good as is around he is a finisher.
“They are able to score goals and I suppose if you are able to score goals, you are going to be a massive threat no matter what and we know that on Saturday, we will have to be at our best to stop them scoring a goal,” he said.
The game throws in at 5pm in Thurles on Saturday.
