Evergreen Youths manager Ollie Walsh says Thomastown will have extra incentive to win Saturday’s Buckley Youths Cup Final.
That’s after the Juniors lost to Evergreen in both the KCLR McCalmont Cup Final and the Premier Division Play-off.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Saturday’s Cup Final, Ollie says Thomastown will be driven by those disappointments.
“100% because they lost out in the final league game as well to Freebooters in the Under-19s.
“Freebooters beat them in the Fairgreen to win the League. That was more or less a Cup Final because who ever won it was going to be crowned Champions.
“I would imagine there will be extra determination from them this weekend to try and bring home some silverware, and in fairness they are after been very good all season so we will be taking nothing lightly,” he said.
The game kicks off at 2.30 on Saturday in Derdimus.
