Former Kilkenny Senior Hurler Tommy Walsh says his Tullaroan clubmate Martin Keoghan has a very important part to play in the Kilkenny set-up.

“We have seen in 2016 Final when the Tipperary back-line were able to drive ball in beautifully into the Full-Forward line, how easy they were able to pick off scores”
“That ball wasn’t coming (Sunday’s drawn final) and that was because of the likes of Mossy Keoghan like, his work-rate and his ability to dispossess guys is crucial to this Kilkenny Team”
“Along with the other young lads the likes of James Maher and Richie Leahy, I think based on that, I like the look of that formation in our forward line that these guys aren’t going to let the ball flying beautifully into that Galway forward line because if that happens they are too good to be able to mark them”
