Muckalee PRO Anthony Maher says having Football matches on has been a bonus with the Club Hurling scene in Kilkenny being in hibernation since April.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday evening’s Senior Final against Mullinavat, Anthony says nothing beats playing matches.
“We are possibly going to be down a player or so for the Final so we are hoping that things might be rescheduled but it’s not looking great at the minute.
“I suppose, the football was a bit of a bonus there because there were real matches there and you can’t beat playing Championship matches and I think it’s the way the lads are going in the football might be a help for the hurling when it resumes,” he said.
