Fenians Hurler Kieran Grehan says they will be delighted to get a tough assignment out of the way this weekend when they play St. Martins in Round two of the Michael Lyng Motors Intermediate League.
Speaking to KCLR, Kieran says it’s important to get a run and momentum going in the League ahead of the Championship games.
“We are renewing acquaintances from Senior, we played Muckalee a lot of the times over the years with some familiar faces so it will be a tough assignment first up.
“It’s probably better to get it out of the way now to see how we are fairing out and then see how we are fixed.
“Last year was our first year down so it’s a bit of a tougher assignment than we probably thought.
“We have to try and make a good run of it this year and try and get a bit of momentum going in the League games now and hopefully hit the Championship running then,” he said.
The sides meet at 1pm Sunday at Castlecomer
