12-year-old girl from Carlow Chloe Black says it was a memorable experience competing at the Muaythai World Youth Championships in which she won a World Silver medal.

Speaking to KCLR on Sunday Scoreline, Chloe outlines how she qualified.

“So at the start of the year, I was in Lithuania and I won two Gold and then I moved on to just two days ago and I beat a Thai girl.

“That’s a really big achievement and I got into the Final and then a USA girl beat me.

“Her legs were made out of steel, but I was delighted, she was tough as well and it just wasn’t my day,” said Chloe.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that Chloe is a girl that is definitely going places and further trips around the World this year are already on the cards.
