Clover United Soccer manager Colin Ryan says he sees Sunday’s last 16 Pat Maher Shield clash at home to Deen Celtic as an opportunity for the young players to prove their point.
Speaking to KCLR, Colin says silverware this season would mean so much for the Rathdowney club.
“We are not going to lie down or anything for it (on Sunday), but we have brilliant young players there that we intend to bring in and let them prove their point to us”, said Ryan in chatting with Michael O’Leary this week.
“Whatever you have to prove, Sunday is the day to prove it to us. Al places are up for grabs.”
“It’s a big year for us this year especially with it being the Shield. Any silverware for us this year would be unbelievable so we will come out fighting the same as every other team will be this year.”
