Rathvilly Senior Football manager John Smith thinks Brendan Murphy could be back in Ireland within the next two weeks.
Rathvilly play Palatine Saturday evening knowing that victory will assure them of a Semi-Final spot in the County Championship, and speaking to KCLR, John says they are doing well despite having to bring in a big number of young players.
“From what I hear, I think he (Brendan Murphy) is back in about a fortnight’s time.
“I haven’t spoken to Brendan personally, but from what I hear he is probably back in the next two weeks.
“We have brought in a lot of young lads there and we are trying them out, and a couple of the older lads have kind of retired so it was a case of having to bringing in the new guys.
“We have been going alright, can’t complain at the moment anyhow,” he said.
