O’Loughlin Gaels Senior Hurling manager Niall Bergin says Erins Own Castlecomer will provide stiff opposition this coming Saturday despite the League standings with both clubs.

O’Loughlins have won all their three matches, while their opponents have lost all of their three games, but speaking to KCLR, Niall says they have always found the Castlecomer club a tough nut to crack….

“I’m not sure now about a David against Goliath because anytime we play Erins Own in a Senior League match, it’s certainly a real battle and I have no doubt this Saturday won’t be any different at all”

“We saw them against Bennettsbridge and they were quite unlucky not to get something from the game and we went along a week later and played Bennettsbridge and we beat Bennettsbridge by a point and it was nip and tuck the whole way through so Erins Own they don’t have any points at the moment and we have six, but we do know their are fine margins in Senior hurling in Kilkenny and I have no doubt we will see that again on Saturday”
