Kilkenny Senior Captain Shelley Farrell says that Anne Downey instilled a belief and spirit within the squad returning as manager in 2016.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of next Sunday’s All-Ireland Final, Shelley says there is a close knit unit within the squad…..
“Since Anne kind of took back over there in 2016, I think it’s been flying since then and she has really instilled a belief that they had when they were back playing”.
“The spirit that they had with each other, I think that’s what we have in our panel with abundance, the spirit, and everyone like just working for each other and everyone gets on so well I think even with our panel”
“We are all around the same age, and it’s a great group to play with”
