Cork Senior Camogie Manager Paudie Murray doesn’t buy into the notion that one team want the All Ireland more than the other.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s All-Ireland Final, Paudie says the match will be decided by small margins.
“I would be disgusted if there wasn’t motivation in Kilkenny we are expecting that, but I would hope that their would be motivation on our side as well not to lose so I don’t buy this thing about one team wanting it more than the other.
“I think both teams will go in on Sunday wanting a win, and it will come down to small margins really, and probably if you look back at last year, the small margins went our way rather than Kilkenny’s way so I think that’s the way it will go.
“From our own point of view, we are down Rena Buckley and Eimear O’Sullivan two All-stars from last year so it would suggest our team is probably weaker than where it was this time last year,” he said.
Murray admits it’s going to be difficult combining his roles as both Senior and Intermediate manager with the two teams involved in Sunday’s All-Ireland Finals in Croke Park.
“It will be hectic, I suppose the last three weeks have been full on and I suppose Sunday will be full on from probably seven in the morning till late in the evening/
“It’s good in one sense that you have two teams there, in another sense your Senior Team probably won’t get the full attention that they probably deserve so I found that hard over the last two years,” he said.
