Old Leighlin Ladies Football manager Derek O’ Mara says that the switches they made worked wonders as they strolled to a comprehensive victory over Bennekerry/Tinryland in the Carlow Ladies Senior Football Final replay on Sunday.
Speaking to KCLR, Derek says they gave a great team performance.
“We thought we had done our homework fairly well and we thought we took a lot out of the game the last day and tried to learn from it and we did learn a lot from it.
“The few little changes we made, the few little tweaks changing things around worked out great for us, they don’t always work that way when you try and change things or move things around, but thankfully everything we touched went incredible, the girls performed incredible, they just were unbelievable,” he said.
