Piltown Junior Hurling Manager James Farrell says that Slieverue are a formidable side who have proven themselves to be one of the top Junior Teams in the County.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of Sunday’s County Junior Semi-Final, James says that Slieverue have a number of players who would definitely get on any of the Intermediate Teams in Kilkenny.
“Like to be fair to Slieverue, we have struggled to beat them.
“We played them in a League game early this year and there wasn’t much in it.
“Before that we struggled to beat them over the last 4 or 5 years.
“They have some serious operators, Eoin Kenny and Paul Rockett, Niall Walsh, they would get on any Intermediate Team in Kilkenny so they would.
“They are a good outfit, they are there on merit as well.
“They beat Emeralds last year, beat them this year, beat Conahy last year, they are all top teams in Kilkenny and to get over any of them you have got to be a good side,” he said.
