Former Kilkenny Senior hurler John Power says that bringing former club players back into the set-up has united St.Lachtains together.
The Freshford club go into Sunday’s Intermediate Semi-Final clash against Tullaroan on the back of three consecutive victories, and speaking to KCLR, John says it would be no surprise if they were to upset the odds on Sunday.
“James Maher is just after coming into form at bang on the right time and he is a hell of player, he has a heart of lion.
“They went back for James Meagher and Ollie O’Connor all former players and they are getting very much united in the last 5 weeks. They are after cementing the club together with all former players and everyone is standing up to be counted so I couldn’t see Freshford beating Tullaroan but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did,” he said.
