Former Offaly Senior Hurler Brian Carroll says that Ballyhale Shamrocks will have their work cut out if they are to win Sunday’s Leinster Senior Final against Ballyboden St. Endas.
Brian played for Coolderry in their Leinster Semi-Final defeat to the Dublin hampions after extra-time, and speaking to KCLR, Brian says that Ballyboden’s St. Endas tough battles to date will stand them greatly.
“Ballyhale will probably be favorites, but Ballyboden are very battle hardened at this stage”, says Carroll.
“They obviously went to a replay with Kilmacud (Crokes) in the Dublin Championship, Clonkill brought them to extra-time and we brought them to extra-time, so they won’t fear Ballyhale come Sunday.”
“Like any Dublin team they are always full of confidence, and they are obviously full of running and full of good hurlers as well, so they won’t fear Ballyhale.”
“Ballyhale will have their work cut out”.
We’ll have live coverage of that game in full from Netwatch Cullen Park, on air and online this Sunday from 2pm.
