Carlow Kilkenny Under-17 Soccer Manager Mark Ross says that buying too many players from the one club would be harmful in the long run.
Speaking to KCLR on Sunday Scoreline, Mark says they try to have a balancing process in building their squad.
“It’s not beneficial to us to do that (buying from the one club) so what we try to do is we try to even out the amount of players we take from each club to start with.”
“We do a lot behind the scenes paperwork-wise about this.”
Ross spent 30 minutes in studio with Mark Collins on Sunday Scoreline, which you can listen to in full below.
“Also, we say to our players, look, no player can be legitimately signed until the 1st of February, that’s the rules, no matter what other clubs tell you and the spoof and stuff they come out with so what we say to players is look, sign now and you can continue playing for your Junior side, your local side, the SFAI if your the right age until the cut-off date.”
