Dunnamaggin Junior Hurling manager Eamonn Kennedy says that reaching an All-Ireland Final will help improve the future of hurling in the club.

Speaking to KCLR after yesterday’s match against Cloughduv, Eamonn says their upcoming All-Ireland Junior Club Final will mean a huge amount to the community especially the younger contingent.

“At the start of the year, all we wanted to do was win the Junior Championship in Kilkenny and then as the year progressed, we got involved in Leinster, then we wanted to win Leinster and then sure we got an All-Ireland Semi-Final we wanted to win that as well” says Eamonn Kennedy.

He said to KCLR after the game “We were delighted to win today by a point and one point is as good as two or three, we are delighted to get to Croke Park”.

“I think it will be a big day for Dunnamaggin, we never got to a Club All-Ireland before and we have a lot of stalwarts in Dunnamaggin that never thought they would get to Croke Park so it will be a great day for them”.

“It will be a great day for the kids, and I think myself going forward for the clubs, the kids will a great kick going to Croke Park and I think it will improve them going forward” he added.
