Kilkenny Senior Camogie Player Miriam Walsh says the squad are very grateful for the top class support that the Ladies GPA are providing Inter-County players.
Speaking to KCLR, Miriam says the support for Camogie players and Ladies Gaelic players has improved.
Speaking about the comparison between men and women’s games she said “They (men) probably get more numbers at their matches than what we would, and they probably get more sponsorship at the hurling games rather than us getting sponsorship but I think it’s improving”.
“I know the Women’s GPA are doing fantastic work providing a voice for Inter-County players, and we actually have two reps on our Kilkenny Senior Camogie Team and if we want anything or if we have to ask any questions, we just go to them and they just give their opinion at the monthly meeting, so we are just grateful of the Womens GPA” she said.
