Gowran Park general manager Eddie Scally says that tomorrow’s (Saturday) Red Mills Chase is one of the exciting in the races history.
Speaking to KCLR, Eddie says that while all eyes will be on Presenting Percy, he is going to have a tough battle on his hands.
“He’s coming on Saturday to run in the Red Mills Chase, and then his next port of call is the Gold Cup at Cheltenham hopefully with all going well, and he will go off favorite for the Gold Cup at Cheltenham so he is back for the Red Mills Chase here in Gowran on Saturday, but he is coming up against a really high class field there” said Eddie.
“Monalee, which is Henry De Bromhead’s horse was second to him last year in the RSA at Cheltenham, he is in the race, Edwulf who won the Irish Gold Cup last year, he is down to run, Anibale Fly”.
He said “The Red Mills Chase reads like the who’s who of National Hunt Racing in Ireland so it’s probably going to be the most exciting Red Mills Chase definitely if not in my time, definitely of all time”.
