There’s no love lost between the sides and with Carlow showing much promise against a fancied Galway side to open the the campaign, last time out they suffered a heavy defeat in poor conditions against Waterford.
Much like Kilkenny, a win is a must if Carlow want to progress to the quarter final stages.
