Peter Funchion from the Kells Handball Club says that both himself and his brother Patrick’s last 16 All-Ireland 40 x 20 Senior Singles clash will be closely contested.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of their matches on Saturday, Peter says they have both trained well ahead of this weekends matches.
He said “I have Brendan Fleming from Cork. He is very good and is training hard down in Cork, they have a strong team down there, he actually made the Semi-Final last year and it will be hard to pick a winner but I would say it will be 50-50 between us”.
“Patrick has Colin Crehan, he is an upcoming young lad, I think he is only 23, but he is the current Doubles All-Ireland Champion, he plays with Diarmuid Nash so again it’s going to be a very close game to call but we will see, we are after training hard the last few months so we are ready for it” he said.
