Carlow Senior Hurling Manager Colm Bonnar says it was a bonus that Marty Kavanagh played through the pain barrier and played 70 minutes in Carlow’s drawn match last Sunday against Laois.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s clash at home to Offaly, Colm expects Marty to be stronger for today’s game.
Colm said “He’s always a man to watch, and this week now he will be stronger again in terms of that he is not coming from an injury that he got against Waterford so hopefully he will be stronger again for this week, and we will get more from him again, but yeah, look it was great to see him line out on the field”.
“All these Carlow lads, we have 28 or 29 on the panel and everyone of them want’s to play and everybody want’s to try and get a start so Marty is no different and he done everything that he could to make himself available so yeah we were delighted that he got through the game without pulling the hamstring again”.
