St. Kierans Senior College Hurling Selector Tom Hogan says there isn’t any extra pressure on the Shamrocks hurlers involved in today’s (Saturday’s) All-Ireland Schools Final despite their recent club success which culminated in All-Ireland Triumph.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of today’s (Saturday) showdown against Presentation Athenry, Tom says their experience is a great help as they attempt to retain their All-Ireland crown.
He said “We have three players from Ballyhale Shamrocks, we have Eoin Cody, we have Dean Mason and we have Darragh Corcoran and they are a great addition to the team really this year and it’s fantastic because they have great experience and they have played against some great opposition during the year so it is a big boost to the team when having lads like that on the team”.
“I think these fellows put pressure on themselves, they are ambitious as hurlers and I think these fellows are looking forward to the challenge, I don’t think it’s any burden on them really”.
We have live commentary of the game with thanks to Eugene Foley Construction.
