Graigue Ballycallan

Graigue-Ballycallan Captain Daragh Egan says they are intrigued about the prospect of playing Senior Hurling this year have been out of top ranks of Kilkenny Hurling for a while.

Speaking to KCLR at last weeks Kilkenny Club Hurling Launch, Daragh says getting back to Senior was the priority rather than defeating neighbors Tullaroan in last October’s Intermediate County Final.

He said “We had a fantastic year last year so we’re looking forward to this year now. Up Senior again after a long time down in Intermediate so yeah just buzzing to get going for the year”.

Regarding the County Final win over Tullaroan, she said “Sure everyone knows the rivalry that exists between ourselves and Tullaroan so I suppose it did make it that bit sweeter on the day (beating them), but the main thing was getting up to Senior again, it didn’t matter who we played it’s Just I suppose playing Tullaroan was that bit sweeter in the end”.
