Kilkenny’s Conor Delaney and Cork’s Seamus Harnedy are free to play in the opening round of the Championship.
The GAA’s Central Appeals Committee have determined that the duo served their one-game suspensions by sitting out a Division One ‘relegation playoff’ between the counties.
The Central Competitions Control Committee had originally judged that the match didn’t count as a seasonal fixture and proposed the bans would carry into the Championship.
Harnedy can now face Tipperary in Cork’s Munster Championship opener next month but Delaney is likely to miss Kilkenny’s Leinster Championship game against Dublin through injury.
