Evergreen Manager Gary Maher says that winning this evening’s (Saturday) KCLR McCalmont Cup Final would represent a successful season despite not quite reaching the heights of previous seasons.
Evergreen have already claimed the Premier Division and speaking to KCLR ahead of this Final against Fort Rangers, Gary says that winning the Premier Division this season was a massive achievement.
He said “A double at this stage would be a successful season again for Evergreen. Now winning the League with Evergreen is a massive achievement, I think this years League was the most competitive League I have seen in the KDL(Kilkenny District League) for a number of years.
“To come out on top of that and keep us entered in the Leinster Senior Cup competition as well so yeah we would regard it as a success if we can win the League and the McCalmont Cup again this Saturday night”.
