New Kilkenny Rugby Club Head Coach David O’Connor says they will use pre-season training on focusing and trying to get the basics right.

Speaking to KCLR, David says they will prioritize fitness and work-rate in particular on helping to get up to scratch.

He said “In a sense, I think it’s more kind of getting into pre-season, I think it’s learning as you go, just try and get a bit of experience just meeting up with a few other coaches, observing a few coaches in work as well, but yeah of course you have a couple of ideas”.

“I really want to focus on getting the basics right pre-season, getting our fitness up to scratch and work-rate and hopefully the rest will hopefully fall into place”.
