Crettyard United Manager Patrick Brennan says the break since the end of the domestic season will benefit them greatly ahead of tomorrow’s (Saturday) Leinster Junior Cup Final against Sherrif.
Speaking to KCLR, Patrick says they needed a few weeks off after such a grueling season.
He said “I would have felt at the back end of the season that we definitely needed a bit of a break, we had a horrendously busy schedule because we were involved in so many competitions”.
He added “Maybe a competitive game would have been ideal to have halfway through the preparations, but training has been fairly intense as well like, we have really put the lads through their paces, we probably feel, myself and Billy (Nolan) – Assistant manager- feel that we have enough done with them and I think the break could stand to us as opposed to go against us”.
