Former Wexford Senior Hurler Tom Dempsey says that TJ Reid is one of the greatest hurlers that has ever played the game.
Speaking to KCLR ahead of this evening’s Leinster Championship clash, Tom says that TJ has a lot of similarities to DJ Carey and Henry Shefflin.
He says “TJ Reid for me is one of the greatest hurlers I have ever seen. We have seen DJ, Henry, we have coupled them as Number One and Two in the modern era of great forwards in Kilkenny”.
“TJ is definitely in there, I am suspecting now that by the time TJ hangs up his boots that TJ could be number one in that pecking order because he brings to the game the way DJ used to electrify the crowd when he get the ball along with the consistency of Henry”.
