Wexford Senior Hurling Manager Davy Fitzgerald is relishing the role of underdogs for this evening’s (Saturday) Leinster Championship clash against Kilkenny.
Speaking ahead of this evening’s game, Davy says that Wexford have improved greatly and are capable of defeating Kilkenny once again.
He said “People will put Kilkenny favorites against us, do you know what I like that, let us go in as underdogs, but I want everyone here just to get behind us and give us every bit of support they can”.
“The last year or two we have been in Division One in the big games, we have had big crowds here, that means you have young kids out all the time with hurleys and balls and I love that. If we can just keep progressing and we need to play for the 70 minutes, but they definitely have come on a mile”.
