Tributes are pouring in following the death of 63 year old Brendan Fennelly on Wednesday.
The Ballyhale man is well known in gaa circles having played and managed county and club teams over his career.
Brendan was part of the well known Ballyhale family, he and six brothers picked up many Kilkenny Senior Hurling Championship medals during a huge era for the club.
He hurled at U21 and Senior level with Kilkenny and usually took up the full forward jersey.
In management, he led Dunnamaggin to a Senior Hurling title in the 90’s and more recently was part of Mount Leinster Rangers in Carlow.
He also managed the Carlow and Laois County sides.
Brendan’s funeral is arriving at St Eoghan’s Church Kilmoganny on Saturday for requiem mass at 11 o clock.
