Mooncoin Greyhound trainer Peter Cronin says that draw is not ideal for Sophie’s Man in Heat 2 of the 3rd round of tomorrow evening’s Irish Greyhound Derby.
Speaking to KCLR, Peter is more hopeful than confident of progressing to the Quarter-Final.
He said “He has a small chance, he is probably a little bit far out in (trap) 4, but we probably prefer the pitch closer to the rails, but he is a good little honest dog and he has won his first round and he ran extremely well last week to qualify so we are just hoping that he might be able to tag across to the rails, that would give him a great chance”.
